  • Polyester T-shirt or pillow cover
  • cricut machine
  • computer
  • Easy press iron
  • Easy press mat
  • Butcher paper or teflon mat

Instructions

To do this project you must have a Cricut machine. You will first go online and search for a free png mandala. Once you find one you like, download and save it somewhere remembering where you put it. Then open Design Space and choose a new project, then upload the png file into design space. You will choose the simple image and then choose a cut image, then you will see it on your Design Space screen. Go to the drop-down box on the upper left of the window and choose draw and choose the size markers you are using. Size the mandala at 8 inches or smaller.

Next, load the black infusible ink marker into clamp A and put a sheet of printer paper onto your green well-used mat or new blue mat, and press start. The machine will draw the mandala with the special ink. There is no need to mirror.

Once your machine is done drawing, remove the printer paper carefully from your mat, then you will color the image using infusible ink markers.

When you are finished and satisfied with how your mandala looks, you are ready to iron it onto the t-shirt or pillow cover as you prefer.

Heat the easy press to 385 degrees. Place the printer paper ink side down onto the t-shirt or pillow cover. Cover printer paper with butcher paper and apply the iron for 40 seconds pressing down but not moving the iron. Remove the iron when the time is up, and let it cool. Once cool to touch, remove the paper and be amazed at the bright colors of your mandala. Do you have any questions about this project? Feel free to contact me if you do!
